Louis Spohr: Work Catalogue                       © Martin Wulfhorst 2006

Most of Spohr’s sketches, drafts, autographs, and early prints are held by D-Ksp and D-Kl. Most works were first published by Kühnel/Peters in Leipzig.

The Catalogue below is based on Göthel 1981 and Wulfhorst 1989, 1995, 1998. For works with harp only the sounding keys are given, not keys of the harp which is tuned a semitone lower. For lost works the references are given in square brackets. Unless otherwise indicated, the publication dates for choral, stage, orchestral, and chamber-music works refer to the first published set of parts; editions of full scores are marked separately. A list of  RISM sigla can be found here .
